So I’ve been a father for a month now, and how does it feel? Well, there’s more of a purpose to a day’s work, there’s another person looking up to you, and there’s someone else depending on you. It sort of validates a lot of things you’ve done so far in your life…the right things, that is. I like the fact I can hold her and talk to her, and it’s soothing to her. I’m like a giant to her, and she trusts me for that.
Life doesn’t feel like it’s changed too much; that’s a good thing. Parenthood feels quite natural, surprisingly; if you think cautiously enough, and put her needs first, it works out quite easily. The part that makes it easiest is my wife, Kathy. We just work as a team, and we solve the problems, and discuss what we can do for Bailey.
